Experiential Learning
Experiential Learning
Master Your Craft,
In-House
We’ve all heard the buzzwords—hands-on experience, learning by doing, industry-ready skills. But let’s face it: too often, “experiential learning” comes with an invisible asterisk. In reality, it might translate into hours of filing paperwork, or shadowing someone from the sidelines while never being truly involved.
At Apicius Armenia, we believe this should be different
Real learning—meaningful, transformative, and applicable learning—shouldn’t be delayed. It should be part of your everyday experience, built into the very fabric of your education from day one.

That’s why we’ve designed our programs not just to talk about the industry, but to immerse you in it—right here on campus.
The Community Restaurant
At the center of our innovative approach is The Community Restaurant—Apicius Armenia’s own on-site, Italian-Armenian culinary and hospitality hub.

This isn’t a classroom in disguise. It’s a fully functioning, vibrant restaurant where students train under real conditions, with real guests, real pressure, and real rewards.

Here, under the close guidance of our internationally trained faculty and working industry professionals, you’re not just learning skills—you’re applying them. You’ll spend more than 150 hours working in an environment that mirrors the dynamic world of modern hospitality.

From prepping and plating in the kitchen to managing table service and guest relations on the floor, you’ll rotate through every part of the operation.
Learn by Doing—Not Just Watching
Forget passive observation. At Apicius Armenia, you won’t be sitting on the sidelines. You’ll be chopping, cooking, plating, serving, welcoming, solving, and improving—with every shift sharpening your instincts and elevating your abilities. You’ll learn to handle pressure, make decisions on the fly, work collaboratively, and develop the confidence that only real experience can bring.

Our goal is simple: to make sure you graduate not only with a diploma but with the muscle memory of your profession.
More Than an Internship:
A Real-World Simulation
The Community Restaurant isn’t just a training ground—it’s your launchpad into the industry.

Unlike traditional internships that often rely on external placements (which can vary wildly in quality and relevance), our approach guarantees that every student gets consistent, high-quality, real-world practice. You’ll be working with real ingredients, serving real guests, and managing real service challenges—learning how to turn theory into action and action into excellence.
And We Don’t Stop There
For students hungry to broaden their horizons even further, we gladly support additional internship opportunities outside the school—whether it’s in Armenia or abroad. But here’s the key difference: these are enhancements, not essentials. Your core training—your practical, foundational skill set—will already be firmly in place before you ever step into a new environment.
A Community That Trains
You Like
a Professional from Day One
By the time you graduate,
you won’t be asking yourself:
Am I ready?—you’ll already know.
At Apicius Armenia, we treat our students like future professionals, not passive learners. You’ll be challenged, encouraged, and mentored in equal measure.

And because The Community Restaurant is an integral part of our campus life, you’ll have daily access to the environment where your transformation unfolds—not just during an occasional practicum, but as a core part of your journey.
